The Sake Study
Six Historic Sakes. One Quiet Hour.
Sake is one of the world's oldest and most misunderstood beverages.

Most people know it only as "Japanese rice wine." In reality, sake is a category as diverse and fascinating as wine itself.
Different rice varieties, polishing levels, brewing methods, yeasts, and regions create remarkably different aromas, textures, and flavors.
The Sake Study is a self-guided tasting experience designed for curious drinkers who want to go beyond a single glass and begin to understand sake as a tradition, a craft, and a culture.
Your study includes six carefully selected sake samples (1 fl oz each) representing historic styles, important brewing techniques, and distinct expressions from Japan's leading sake-producing regions. Each tasting is accompanied by a booklet that introduces the history, production methods, technical terms, and character of every sake.
There are no presentations. No sales pitches. No distractions.
Just six historic sakes, a quiet table, and time to explore at your own pace.
Whether you're completely new to sake or looking to deepen your understanding, The Sake Study offers a rare opportunity to compare, reflect, and discover.
Because sometimes the best way to learn is simply to sit down, taste carefully, and pay attention.
